1. Data Controller

The data controller for this website is:

Octus GmbH
Grabenstrasse 15A
6340 Baar, Zug
Switzerland
E-Mail: privacy@azeth.ai

Octus GmbH operates azeth.ai ("Website") and any associated software, SDKs, APIs, or tools (collectively, the "Service").

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

We do not collect personal data through forms on this Website. If you contact us via email or other channels, we may process your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry.

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

This Website is deployed on Vercel. Vercel may collect anonymized analytics data (page views, geographic region, browser type) that does not identify individual users. No cookies are set by this Website. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded.

2.3 Blockchain Data

When you interact with the Azeth protocol on public testnets (Ethereum Sepolia, Base Sepolia), your wallet address and transaction data are recorded on the public blockchain. This data is inherently public and immutable. We do not control or process this data beyond displaying publicly available on-chain information through our explorer interface.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

3.1 Swiss Law (nDSG)

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG), data processing is lawful provided it complies with the principles of Art. 6 nDSG (lawfulness, purpose limitation, proportionality, data accuracy, and security). Where processing may breach personality rights, we rely on the justification grounds of Art. 31 nDSG: overriding private or public interest, your consent, or a legal obligation.

3.2 EU/EEA Law (GDPR)

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process data on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Website hosting, security, and performance analytics
  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Responding to your inquiries
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Where explicitly given for specific purposes

4. How We Use Data

Any data collected is used exclusively to:

  • Respond to your inquiries
  • Improve Website performance and content
  • Ensure security and prevent abuse
  • Display publicly available on-chain data in the trust explorer

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

Vercel (hosting): Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel processes infrastructure-level data on our behalf. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Public blockchain networks: Azeth interacts with Ethereum and Base testnets. Transactions on these networks are publicly visible and not under our control.

All fonts and assets are self-hosted. No external font services, CDNs, or tracking providers are used.

6. International Data Transfers

Our hosting provider Vercel may process data in the United States. Vercel participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).

7. Cookies

This Website does not set cookies. No cookie consent banner is required.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above, or as required by applicable law. Email correspondence is retained for up to 12 months after the last communication unless a longer retention period is required by law.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any personal data we process. All connections to this Website are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

10. Your Rights

Under the Swiss nDSG and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: Request information about what personal data we process
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured format
  • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to restrict processing: Request limitation of data processing

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@azeth.ai.

Note on blockchain data: Personal data recorded on public blockchains (e.g., wallet addresses, transaction history) cannot be modified or deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology.

11. Supervisory Authority

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:

Switzerland:
Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC)
Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern
www.edoeb.admin.ch

EU/EEA: You may also contact the data protection authority in your country of residence.
